Quick Facts Alma Mater: Randolph-Macon Woman’s College Degree: Creative Writing Major with a Concentration in American Studies Dog Mom To: Dottie and Honey Why did you create Modern Brand? I created Modern Brand because I believe that beautiful design and solid strategy should be accessible to organizations and businesses no matter their size. I’ve been fortunate to have a career where I’ve worked with a wide variety of personalities on creative projects. For me, Modern Brand is where I get to use all of those experiences to help clients achieve their goals. What’s your spirit animal? My aspirational spirit animal is a hawk because I love birds of prey. There’s something intentionally peaceful about a hawk riding a thermal. Plus, I’m a Ravenclaw and my patronus is an osprey. Realistically, my spirit animal is a donkey with all of the obvious beast of burden connotations attached. So, maybe my spirit animal is Eeyore on a hang glider. What’s your favorite drink? The Ginger Avenger at Paramount. It’s all things that are good. I need the vitamin C. Really. What’s your favorite part about working at Modern Brand? I love collaborating with this talented team. As awesome as it is to have a brilliant idea and make it come to life all by myself, it is the best when everyone contributes. And collating. I love to collate. What’s been you favorite project here and why? My favorite project has been the work we’ve done with the Health Action Partnerships of Jefferson and Walker Counties. It’s important, interconnected, smart, and beautiful. And it’s led to our work for the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, Mothers’ Milk Bank of Alabama, East Lake Market, WE Community Gardens, and more. I’m very proud to have contributed to the work all of these partners do.
